This one has been circulating all around...this is 11 year old Keaton Jones. His mom took this video last Friday so he could explain being bullied in his middle school in Knoxville, TN. Pretty sad. Young kids can be harsh. In my experience with working with the special needs guys and girls, really the only insults, long stares, etc. I’ve noticed have always come from younger kids. The best thing we can do I think is to teach typical kids about differences. This bullying stuff has some far-reaching consequences. There was a high school student with autism in my area who recently committed suicide due to all the bullying that he faced. It’s really sad. Hopefully things can get better through awareness/acceptance.
Pretty awesome...check out DJ GeoYio (George Yionoulis) from North Carolina 😎😎😎 He created a short video to explain to his 4th grade classmates what life with autism was like. His mom ended up posting it to FB and youtube and it went viral...over 100,000 views since late November. Great example of promoting awareness/acceptance. Worth showing to any younger kid. The full video is in the link in my bio if you feel like watching👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼💯💯💯
