If like me you had some time off over Christmas and started training again in January, take some time also to focus on your re-build and self-care days to make sure you stay strong and don’t have any niggles or injuries.
Today’s focus was more on the shoulders which go through A LOT of work when you’re doing your exercises, especially the pushing/pressing ones.
Without thinking the shoulder joint working with your shoulder blade (scapula) and arm work together to give you freedom to brush your teeth, open the ketchup bottle or do 100 push ups, but we need to make sure they’re working well together!

This is mine and Marks 4Q workout from today, more to come on the 4Q method in the new year.
Loaded Linear Movement- Double Landmine Press
Loaded 3D Movement- Double Kettlebell windmills
Unloaded linear movement (s)- Press ups into lunges and squats/Sprints
Unloaded 3D- Diagonal mountain climbers.
45 seconds per station, as many rounds as you can.

I’m a BIG believer in taking a step back and setting a plan of action, and that’s not just once per year, going back over your plans whether that be healthy habits, training or even a business if you run one. I’m off from Friday which means no work until January! We’ve decided to get things planned here at @no1_fitness and Edufit.co before the 🦃 comes out.

Our ‘gym text’ books will mostly talk about building our muscles, and again almost always talk of just working those muscles in a linear (forwards and backwards) movement.
We are much more than Just individual isolated muscles so today’s workout was all focussed on loading up all frontal (sideways) and rotational exercises.
