Thank you @sshutan Suzan Shutan for curating my work into Mighty Minis at Melanie Carr Gallery along with so many great artists I admire!
Please join us for the Opening Reception of the exhibition Mighty Minis, curated by Suzan Shutan.
In the art world where bigness reigns, thirty contemporary artists from United States and abroad have come together to reflect and respond to working small. For centuries, artists have utilized pint-size scales to depict and explore cherished, esteemed, and intimate subjects. The contemporary miniature can be seen as an approach to art making that marries craft and concept with gemlike details of tiny treasures. Despite our fast-paced world, small works require giving time for reflection and thought. The reward may be the element of surprise.
Exhibition includes work from:
Ellen Hackl Fagan
Jeffery Cortland Jones
Juan Alberto Negroni
Exhibition Dates: January 27 - April 8, 2018

Had a great visit from Vincent Falsetta today at the studio... lots of positive, important insights ... and great timing; @toddecamplin Todd Camplin's New Year post including Vincent's work just came out. Here's some of what he has to say: (link below... @modern.dallas):::
A show coming down on the 6th is at Conduit Gallery. This is a ten-year survey of Vincent Falsetta’s paintings. No other exhibition in Dallas last year got you so close to seeing an artist work through the process of painting. You could have only learned more by visiting his studio. The small studies
were insightful treasures to his thoughts and made the larger paintings richer. http://www.moderndallas.net/todd_camplin_weekly.html#.Wk_4ZlWnGpp
