People are often overwhelmed by the idea of changing their entire lifestyle in one day or one conversation. This is going to take time and if you're going to stick with veganism for life, you need to build a solid foundation. for example, start by using up the non-vegan products in your fridge. OR by just having one vegan meal a day! the easiest meal to start with is breakfast!! just have oatmeal/toast/cereal and make sure you get enough food and plenty of whole carbohydrates and some fats. like this bowl of oats ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒ you could make overnight oats (recipe in my bio) or cook some carrot oats on the stove and top with any fruit/nuts/seeds you like. above i have banana๐ŸŒ, blueberries, cherries๐Ÿ’, peanuts๐Ÿฅœ, almonds, chia &  pumpkin seeds ๐Ÿ’› it's NOT about being perfectโŒ it's about improvementโœ… so start small, and make your way to plant-based lifestyle on your own time--veganism is not a religion!! you can be on your way, vegan of 20 years, or anywhere in between and you are still freaking awesome โ™ป๏ธโ™ป๏ธโ™ป๏ธโ™ป๏ธ #vegan #govegan #howtogovegan

my top 5 tips to transitioning to veganism (TIP NUMBER ONE!!) โ˜๐Ÿฝ make sure to eat enough food! plant foods are lower in calories than the standard american diet foods, so you have to eat a larger volume of food to be full! eating a small salad for lunch is never going to keep you satiated and full until dinner! you have to eat ABUNDANTLY and fill your plate with grains, legumes, tons of veggies, and some whole fats like avocado/seeds/nuts ๐ŸŒฐ๐Ÿฅ‘๐Ÿฅœ a typical lunch for me looks like this: fill a plate with leafy greens๐ŸŒฟ, add some starchy vegetables (like this baked sweet potato)๐Ÿ  or a whole grain (rice, quinoa, oats, whole grain pasta, barley), then add some legumes (like these pinto beans i made in the pressure cooker in 15 mins)๐ŸŒฏ, then add any cruciferous veg (like this broccoli) or any veg you enjoy/have on hand (like carrots๐Ÿฅ•, tomatoes ๐Ÿ…, cucumber๐Ÿฅ’, etc.). Then i top the whole thing with condiments i like! you can use hot sauce, mustards, hummus, ketchup, bbq sauce, lemon juice, guacamole, salt, pepper, etc!!!!! IT NEVER FAILS! i call this meal "legitimately no food left in the pantry" lol i think this was the most random meal i've ever made but that's what moving-out calls for. brown rice+lentils, a lone tortilla baked in triangles, a weird peanut sauce, and some leftover spinach & carrots plus some tomatoes from the neighbor's garden ๐Ÿ’› tbh it was still pretty good ๐ŸŒฟbut a dinner without sweet potatoes is never reeeeaally that good is it? power of plants never ceases to amaze me ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’–
