I had blood work done for the first time since September of 2014. Excuse me while I do a happy dance because the differences are astounding!! You can see the difference in health in my face. First, I had already begun eating much healthier for 5 months at that point in 2014. I wasn't eating whole food plant-based, but it was drastically better than what I had been eating previously. I can only imagine what my numbers in 2012 or 2013 would have been. Now to the good stuff!

My overall cholesterol went from 182 to 130. My triglycerides dropped from 114 to 68. My HDL basically stayed the same from 64 to 60 (HDL has no causal link with heart disease). And my LDL went from 94 to 56!!! In epidemiological studies, LDL between 50 and 70 show basically no occurrence of heart disease. Cardiovascular disease, the number one reason most of us and our loved ones will die, is something that can be prevented. We can become heart attack proof simply by changing what we eat. Statins and medications do not work as effectively as this lifestyle plus they have many side effects and do not treat the underlying cause of the disease.

I know what you're all thinking, but what about your B12?! My Vitamin B12 stayed exactly the same at 818. The only thing I was slightly deficient in was Vitamin D, so I have been getting more sun lately and taking my Dr. Fuhrman supplement more diligently β˜€οΈ Nutrient dense plants are so powerful πŸŒ±πŸ™ŒπŸ’• The great news? I am not unique. There is nothing special about me. ALL of our bodies want to achieve health and can reach these numbers πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
