I made these #bluerkblocks for @craftycop She is collecting these blocks to make quilts for fallen police officers. They are 12.5 blocks. The pattern is from @heritage.threads Check @craftycop IG page to see the info she has about this wonderful project that's she's doing if you're interested in helping. Sorry that my picture isn't the best. The slight wind kept blowing my blocks around.
I made this quilt as a wedding gift for our best friends' son and his bride. They were married this past Friday. I chose this fabric for their quilt because this young man started teaching me all about basketball when he was only a 2nd grader!! Because of his exceptional knowledge and patience with all my questions (at such a young age!) I ended up loving college basketball and have become a huge fan!! So when I saw that Laura from @overtherainbowfabrics was getting this special Gonzaga Bulldog batik by @hoffmanfabrics in I knew this would be the perfect quilt for their gift! We all love our Zags around here!! ❤️ I machine quilted it using my home sewing machine. #overtherainbowfabrics#aurifilthread#hoffmanfabrics
I haven't posted anything for quite awhile. This is one of the projects that I've been working on. I'm going to make a yo yo quilt for the top of our bed. So far I've made about 600 yo yos. It will probably take at least 2 or 3 thousand of them though! I'm using only fabrics from @meandmysisterdesigns So far I have used 4 of their fabric lines.... #hideho#grow#brightenup and #rainyday I just love the happy, cheerful colors!
Happy National Cat Day. This is my youngest daughter's cat. His name is Chester. He's 9 years old. For some reason my SIL set these old elk antlers (that he found while bird hunting) on Chester's bed today. So Chester being the funny little character that he is thought, "hmm I guess I better try out this new thing on my bed"!! I'm posting this also so that Nan @nanmadequilts can see Chester. She also has a mainecoon cat, named Cooper. #nationalcatday#mainecooncats
Disclaimer: No I really am NOT a creepy lady having my picture taken at the hospital with random babies! Even though it kind of looks like it since I have 2 baby posts right next to each other!! This is another new grandbaby!! This is my grandson! He was born on Sept. 1. Both of our daughters were pregnant at the same time. Their due dates were 2 1/2 weeks apart but the babies ended up being born 3 days apart!!!! It's been a busy week!!! We are so thrilled to have 2 new babies join our family! ❤️❤️
This is a doll/cuddle quilt that I just finished making for my 3 year old granddaughter. I'll be giving it to her when her little sister is born, which is any day now. So she can use it with her Bitty Baby Doll. It's 3" squares sewn together using flannels that I actually bought about 15 years ago at one of the LQS. My goodness that's kind of embarrassing to say that I have fabrics in my stash that are that old!! 😳 (Oh and that is my husband holding it for the photo.)
This is my sweet little granddaughter. She was the flower girl at "Auntie Em's" wedding (my youngest daughter, Emily) this past weekend. Photo credit to Give Me Shelter Photography. Ginger Yeager really captured the essence of her in this pic! Thank you so much Ginger! #givemeshelterphotography
