Happy Photoshop Sunday! **JUST KIDDING!** This fabulous frogger is 100% real, and was only described in 2008. One of the rarest and most beautiful tree frogs in the world, the Tiger's Treefrog (Hyloscirtus tigrinus) is endemic to Colombia and Ecuador. It is listed by the IUCN as Vulnerable in Colombia, with a proposal for Critically Endangered status in Ecuador. Its home is threatened by deforestation, so we may lose them before truly knowing them! Take a second to donate to your favorite herpetological conservation group (I've listed a couple below!) and tag a frog fanatic! 💚🐸💚 📸: Thomas Marent
Say hello to the Rough Backed Litter Snake aka "Dragon Snake" (Xenodermus javanicus)! Fun fact: This snake is so unique, it's the only snake in its genus. Native to Southeast Asian rainforests, this nocturnal egg layer is an incredibly rare find in the wild and an even rarer find in private collections since it is not a prolific species and reluctance to thrive in captivity. It feeds exclusively on frogs and is non-venomous. Tag a reptile addict who would love to hold one of these!! 🐉🐍❤
