Going out to eat when you're vegan can be difficult. Stack that experience on top of living in a small town in a very meat-heavy state and you'll be doubly as exhausted and ready for supper by the time you find it.. Except there is always Nashville- sweet, sweet Nashville. With its quickly growing awesomeness, there are many vegan options when eating out there, and at a cool thirty minutes down the road, sometimes it is worth it to make the drive💁 Without further ado, I give you @thewildcow 's au jus French Dip sandwich paired with the best pinto beans I've ever eaten. Ever! Served with a dollop of vegan sour cream that really made it. Okay, back to the sandwich: this beautiful work of art is seasoned seitan and mushrooms smothered in vegan cheese on a hoagie style bun🙌 and then that au jus... I will be the first to admit I had to sip it a few times. It was beyond comparison in flavor, totally beating out any au jus or, for that matter, any French dip I ever ingested prior to becoming vegan. I seriously should have bought two and brought one home with me but I knew I had all my @leeuwnashville sweets waiting for me so I opted to simply promise myself a return in the near future.✨ There is no over exaggerating here tonight folks, this was the most bomb birthday dinner I could have treated myself to, I have absolutely no doubts. 🙌💕 I also got in and out of this wonderland for 13 dollars. WHAHHH!?! That's right cruelty free, filling, flavorful, and frugal😍 .
Ever since I can recall it's been common practice to celebrate my birthday, which is November 13th, for days. This used to mean partying with friends and skipping school- now it means seeking out the finest vegan foods and scheduling days off from my job. The second is honestly a much better fit for me. Which would you choose?😄 .
These goodies came from a true goody, @leeuwnashville whom I've been following here on Instagram for quite some time. She creates these works of art near Nashville, Tn which as you may know is only about a thirty- fifty minute drive from my home. Even with this being fact, I have never got around to trying them until today.. And I am so glad I waited for this perfect occasion. I present to you her amazing weekend treat box which contains 10 mini succulent chocolate and carrot cake cupcakes, 4 chocolate crackle cookies, 4 blueberry and dragonfruit(yes, I said DRANGON FRUIT🐲) poptarts, and 3 enormous cinnamon rolls. If I'm being totally honest, the cinnamon rolls are what initially drew me in.. I've been fiending for them for awhile and cannot make dough as far I can tell😅😜 Anyhow, pickup was at 6 pm on the 10th and by the time I had dinner @thewildcow and drove back to Murfreesboro it was after midnight/the 11th.. I had to sample the goods still, though. All I can say is WOW and shed a little tear.. In love. Now, I'm back awake not 5 hours later ready for a poptart for breakfast😍😘 My mom is also going to come over this morning when she gets off work so day 2 of the birthday weekend is looking super duper already💓 .
