The works of the IN series are my view on the problems of contemporary society – the indifference, detachment and demise of interpersonal communication. We find ourselves suppressed by the rhythm of metropolis cities - depressed, devoured by helplessness and devoid of confidence. Thus, loneliness and detachment from others have become core issues that plague our society. In spite of the plethora of communication platforms that are now available, society appears more disjointed than ever, with much celebrated individualism now a source for peril, paving way to a string of parallel worlds succumbed by solitude, unable to find true connections…
The omnipresent numbness, indifference and fatal egoism are consequently destroying relationships, making them automated, lacking true meaning. We speak, but fail to hear one another, as the ubiquitous indifference makes words futile. These works are meant to highlight the evolution of contemporary individuals’ identity in an environment of fake reality, where the series is a stark reminder showcasing the crisis of the modern soul. •

The following series, originally named Faceless, came to life in 2012. The conceptual idea is to remind the beholder of the natural being of man. The nudity of the subjects symbolizes the renunciation of materialistic goods and the freedom of worldly faults. People often burden themselves with fictitious problems - thereby, stripping them to their natural image is a metaphor for freeing them of futile issues, restraint, and diffidence.
The locations chosen for the shots are not unintentional, the photographs were taken in surroundings and spaces familiar to the subjects, in their home, at their workplace, at venues they feel comfortable. The postures are uninhibited and natural, their bodies "clothed" in the space surrounding them, melting into each other, becoming an integral part of it. The contrast of the naked body and the blurred faces illustrates the inner protest of man, the yearning for openness and sincerity and at the same time the enforced restraint and obligation to correspond with bogus ideals and standards of modern society.
