AMAZING. Activists in the UK stood up for turkeys after the transport truck taking them to slaughter crashed. After the workers refused to let them take the birds to sanctuary, one activist blocked a turkey with her own body. Eventually, the workers and police gave in, and the turkey is now safe at a sanctuary.
Update from HHCR on Tuesday, the little girl we saved from a slaughterhouse just a few days ago.

Meet Tuesday! She arrived at the sanctuary on Tuesday night after being rescued from a slaughterhouse (by @directactioneverywhere) just hours before.
When activists found Tuesday, she was sitting in a cage with dozens of other birds. She could hear her brothers and sisters screaming on the kill floor. She undoubtably must have felt an overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety. And yet, when we opened the wire door and lifted her out, she grew calm.
Our full time, on staff veterinarian has looked her over, and so far she seems healthy. Tuesday is settling in really well, and yesterday we took her outside for the very first time. She had a blast pecking around in the bushes and looking up at the sky.
To see her transformation in just 48 hours is truly inspiring. She has already grown to trust us. We are so proud of her, and can't wait to see her continue to shine as the beautiful individual she was always meant to be <3
Meet Tuesday!💙 After our historic Slaughterhouse sit-in and #openrescue , the owner has agreed to permit in-house vigils and rescues moving forward! Today in honor of #GivingTuesday , Tuesday was given the life she deserves! Please support our fundraiser! Link in bio above!
