Repost from @torontochickensave - We have been conditioned from birth to believe that animals are food and it's normal, natural and necessary to murder and eat them. When you bear witness and meet the victims you realize none of that is true. They are individuals who want to live. Please don't pay people to kill them.

Q: How do you stay motivated as an activist?
Tania: I keep in mind two things: that this is a marathon not a sprint and that animals are suffering immensely and dying by the millions every day. I give myself space to get rest and to find a balance between activism, friends and my job, but I never lose sight of the fact that we are doing work that needs to get done."
Yesterday, DxE Kyiv activists and animal rights community of Ukraine paid a visit to The Committees of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to demand a law that protects animals from mistreatment.
Six hens were rescued by DxE at San Francisco slaughterhouse. Now @BuzzfeedNews covers it. Check it out! #OpenRescue "This activist was arrested for rescuing hens from a slaughterhouse where they're stuffed into bags and sold while still alive. The hens were immediately taken to a vet, and now they're living in a sanctuary."
"When you see that you have the power to walk right into one of these places.. and take one of those victims out, THAT is when we will achieve animal liberation." Inspiring words from Wayne on the LA Veg Vest Activism Panel with Marc Ching of the The Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation, Steve-O, Amy Jean Davis of Los Angeles Animal Save and The Save Movement, and Christina Sewell from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)! Civil disobedience is what social movements are made of.
