Fabulous salad of roast sweet potato, chickpea, salad leaves, onions, roast capsicum, feta and other yummy things I can't remember! All this for $5. I have never had such good value lunch in Docklands. Colleague ordered the gozleme and it was pretty good too. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Launching new version of our apps and eating takeaway beef udon from this tiny place called Katsu House near Docklands Stadium. It's not bad really, just a tad salty. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Last week had been a killer for me at work so the highlight was our little date night out @vaporettomelbourne where we got there, ordered mains (mine was spaghetti con vongole), polished everything off because we were starving, ordered desserts, polished that off too and ran home because we were just too damn tired. Ah full time work and parenthood. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Made a beef bulgogi bowl from supermarket's pre-marinated beef bulgogi but made my own sides: blanched beansprouts and baby spinach with sesame oil, garlicky carrots, blanched broccoli with sesame dressing and raw zucchini noodle strips. It was so good and we packed it for lunch the next day. Great way to use up veggies in the fridge too. #eatallthehomecooking

So happy that we now have a Belle's Hot Chicken in Docklands. Same chicken but disappointingly fewer choices of sides. I wish they have my favourite green beans and broccoli salad! #eatallthethingsmelbourne

I've been eating like a tornado in my third trimester so I try to keep a stock of fruits in the work fridge to calm the hunger during the work days but once I bought this delicious almond croissant and did not regret it one bit. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

'Urban Snack Pack' - roast potatoes, slow cooked lamb (or pulled pork), mixed slaw and Sriracha sauce @focaccino_docklands. It's pretty good and on the day this pic was taken, it was unusually super generously portioned. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Not the best photo but good food and even better company @lizholtfreter et al. We had beef bulgogi bibimbap (with omelet instead of raw egg, a bit odd), jumpong (spicy seafood soup) and kimchi pancake. Great service too #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Weekend lunch at Mk Spices n' Things in Ashburton. It's a large Sri Lankan South Asian grocery store with a very happening Sri Lankan rice and curry in bain marie and all sorts of Sri Lankan and South Indian food. I had spicy fried chicken, biryani rice with mixed cabbage, peas and carrots and chilli eggplant. The kiddo had chapati (wholemeal flatbread) with beetroot and dal. She complained it's spicy but we're gonna have to build up them tastebuds! Also spiced tea (marsala chai) which was so good I ended up having two cups. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

I made a birthday Pavlova this year for Josh because it's one of his favourite desserts and Queensland berries seem to be right in season. So pretty and fresh. Can't go wrong with something so simple. #eatallthehomecooking

Really simple dinner: Chinese-style spicy green beans, fluffy omelet and rice. Scroll for pictures of how to make the green beans. These green beans started off as being the popular 'dry fried' Sichuan style green beans but I didn't have dried chillies and Sichuan pepper corn. So I just went with whatever I have in the kitchen. Recipe below.

Simple Fried Green Beans
- 500g green beans, cut into 5cm length
- 1 tsp + 1 tsp cooking oil
- 4 fresh hot chillies, sliced
- 2 large cloves garlic
- Equal amount of ginger
- Equal amount of preserved salted Chinese cabbage
- 1tbsp Chinese rice wine
- 1/4 tsp Asian style stock powder (or salt)

Heat up 1 tsp oil and fry the green beans, tossing around until slightly browned. You don't need a lot of oil and a smoking hot wok, I did this on my non-stick pan, just need a bit of patience here. Add the sliced chillies and continue frying until the chillies start to blister too. Drain the beans & chillies and set aside.

Heat up the other 1 tsp oil, fry the garlic, ginger and salted cabbage until fragrant. Add the green beans back and continue to fry. Sprinkle stock powder to season and toss unto mixed. Finally, add the Chinese rice wine and fry until evaporated. Serve.

Dumplings for my favourite dumpling on his birthday last night 😘 I remember our second date was at the David & Camy in the city (now gone) and the Box Hill joint is now one of our favourite family haunts. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

First time having a proper lunch break in weeks so I wandered over to Don Don and ordered (one of) my favourite(s): sashidon, sashimi, rice, pickles and mixed salad. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Shashuka @oasisbakery or rather semi-shashuka with the egg poached separately rather than baked with the bean stew. Still utterly delicious though. Food is so good here. Just wish it's less crazy. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Soy & garlic Korean fried chicken. The family prefers boneless but I prefer normal chicken. I always lose. At least we agree that this the flavours we like for this place. #eatallthethingsmelbourne

Dinner was super spicy leftover chicken (from chicken rice made earlier this week) stir fried with green beans, magroot lime leaves and fresh southern Thai curry paste. With a star egg. Super crispy white and runny yolk. Just the way I love it. #eatallthehomecooking

Lunch in the sun yesterday after being sick again all week with @my_bloody_clementine was awesome. Spectacularly pretty dish: the Inside Out; Scotch egg, mushy peas, pickled cabbage and mushroom on sourdough toasts. Also spectacularly delicious! Miss my old hangout joint @thebabasus. #eatallthethingsmelbourne
