So. If you’ve been reading my previous posts, you would’ve seen that I have recently been struggling with a little bit of anxiety, mostly from unresolved health issues + lack of sleep + stress of exams and of my dance concert. Basically it has all built up and now my brain is actually β€œfried”, as my mum describes it πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

What is the worst about it is that it has led to a symptom called β€˜Derealisation’. And this is what has been effecting me the most (I’m not going into detail on here of what it is, but I’ll have a blog post up soon). It is a bloody terrifying feeling, and during exams it got so bad that I had it ALL THE TIME. I couldn’t focus on anything, and my mind was constantly racing. I’m still too afraid to drive my car. This feeling is what also led to most of my anxiety attacks, mostly because it scares the crap out of me πŸ˜“ .
Last Friday, I thought it was better, so I decided to go out to celebrate the end of exams, but alcohol mixed in with it all just resulted in a major attack that lasted about 3 hours, putting me in the emergency department at the hospital... 😣 it was easily one of the scariest moments of my life. And I am so thankful for the people that were there to look after me during that πŸ’• .
I was also terrified that I was going to have one on stage at my dance concert. But I managed to pull through (thank god) 😌 .
So now, the next step is seeing someone about it. And that’s what I’m doing this weekend. I do feel annoyed and hopeless, but I am also kind of grateful. Mostly because, once I resolve this, I have another β€œissue” to add to my list and instead of dwelling on it, I can use it to educate and help others. If you are ever feeling like something isn’t right, I do encourage you to ask for help or see someone about it. Mental health is just as, if not more, important than physical health. If you ever have any questions, I am happy to chat. And I will have a longer, more detailed blog post up about this soon 😌

AND I AM REALLY STOKED COZ ONLY HAVE 1 MORE EXAM AND THEN WE OUT πŸ‘ and then dancing concert on Sunday πŸ’ƒ I am hoping that my anxiety starts to settle down now, and that I can start getting some quality sleep. Exams have gone ok, but it’s in the past and I don’t like to dwell on it Hah πŸ˜… .

AND my new tummy specialist has told me that the issues are nothing but a dysfunctional bowel, possibly caused by an unknown viral infection, which would explain the swollen lymph nodes all over my body lol πŸ€— so it’s just down to me being able to manage it now, which I am ok with because it could’ve been something serious 😌 .

You know what sucks the most about exams? The fact that they either run right through my morning snack, or afternoon snack time πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… So the compromise is to have a huge brekky full of all the goods!!! πŸ™Œ . πŸ‘‰ These vanilla overnight oats are topped with frozen berries, @purely_elizabeth Granola and @byronbaypeanutbutter Peanut Butter & Banana Jam 😍 The perfect brain food πŸ‘ŒπŸ”₯ .

On a side note... I think it’s time to do something about this anxiety issue that is ruining me right now. Almost had an attack driving. Had one at dancing. It’s just not going well. I thought I could fight it myself but I think I need some help with it. And you know what, it’s ok to want help. You don’t have to go through things on your own. Never be ashamed to even just call on friends and family for support. I am so grateful for the people in my life that help me in my times of weakness, my mum being the biggest of them, and my gal @aadarraa too. Never underestimate the power of just talking to someone and having a hug. I would not be the person I am today without my mum by my side through all of my problems. She is my best friend πŸ’• .

Hey y’all!! Thought I’d post a quick lil update because it’s been a while?! πŸ˜‚ .

So I’m officially half way through exams YAY πŸ‘ 4 down, 4 to go πŸ˜… cannot wait for them to be done and for the holidays to start!! πŸ•Ί

Anyways. Unfortunately, things haven’t been going too smoothly... it is very β€œunlike me” for this to happen, but I have let everything get to me - The stress of all my health issues, the stress of exams (pressuring myself to do well in them), having to make some big decisions about things, the lack of sleep I’ve been getting. And it has all manifested into anxiety and mega stress. Yea. It scares the crap out of me. And that’s what I think keeps making it worse. So I’m hoping that with exams finishing up soon, and a positive outlook on things, I can push through and sort it out. Like I said REALLY STRANGE FOR ME TO LET IT GET TO THIS POINT because y’all know I’m miss β€œPositive Pants” πŸ˜‚ so if anyone has any stress management tips etc HIT ME UP πŸ’•πŸ™ˆ .

It’s so weird. It’s like Perth completely skipped spring and went straight from winter to summer? πŸ˜‚ no complaints though coz I loooveeee the heat  #nohate πŸ”₯πŸ™ˆ .

This one was really easy πŸ‘‰ Blended 1 banana, frozen strawberries, ice, almond & coconut milk, and a scoop of @womensbest Chocolate whey protein πŸ‘ Then topped it with frozen berries and @purely_elizabeth Granola πŸ’ƒ .

So I mentioned in my last post that I was trialling a gym this week. Well today was my last visit and I’ve decided to sign up post exams YEEHAA 😝πŸ’ͺ I’ve talked all year about getting one, but I haven’t had the time with uni.. and honestly, I don’t think I could have been trusted earlier in the year. But now I have found balance and now I feel in control. So let’s give it a shot πŸ˜‚ .

Now exams. Well it’s safe to say that my brain is completely fried and I am not sleeping well and I feel tired af by the end of the day. But I’m keeping the positive vibes going because after exams 3 MONTHS OFF BABBYYY πŸ˜­πŸ™Œ .

To be honest, I never thought that I would get to where I am today. There were so many times throughout the last year or so where I thought it was all too hard, so pointless, and a waste of time. 
I wanted to give up. 
I didn’t know how to break the horrible habits I had. 
I thought it was going to be a never ending cycle of self hate. 
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT. NOTHING FEELS BETTER THAN BEING HAPPY WITH WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE πŸ‘Š .

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for how my journey has turned out. I have learnt so much, not just about exercise, food, nutrition, blah blah blah - but about ACCEPTANCE AND CARING FOR YOURSELF 😌 For me, that means listening to your body, not getting frustrated at it, and appreciating it for what it can do, rather than what it looks like πŸ‘ .
