I went for a track run yesterday & it reminded me that I want to start focusing on improving my running. I also want to become a morning person, so I figure - why not run in the mornings? 😬

Ok, so last night I was lucky enough to spend the night in a luxury hotel suite all to myself. To say it was amazing is a serious understatement. It was exactly what I needed to hit the reset button on my life & refocus my priorities! 👌
Anyways - something unbelievable happened…I bought a crap load of junk because I’d decided last night was going to be a write-off eating wise… and I BARELY ATE ANY OF IT! 😱 I know, I’m still shocked!! •
So…I went a little overboard when I was shopping at the grocery store. I did buy some healthy options (kale salad mix & grapes) but mainly just “bad” food that I used to binge on all the time, including tortellini in cheese sauce, chips, chocolate, candy & cheesecake 🤦♀️. I also picked up a bottle of wine & some energy drinks (I wanted to stay up late but wine makes me sleepy).
Old me would have eaten every last piece of tortellini, no problem, & then eaten a big slice of cheesecake, all washed down with a couple glasses of wine *cringe*…BUT by portioning out the pasta & adding in half a plate of kale salad - I was full & had leftovers for today’s lunch! 👍
I didn’t even finish one glass of wine - I craved water instead!! I went through almost 2 pitchers of water & didn’t even touch the energy drinks.
The only junk food I really had was the kit-kat bar - scandalous, I know! And instead of craving the gummies, I wanted the grapes 🍇
It’s just SO weird, but SO exciting! It shows me that my body is on-board with a healthy-lifestyle, now I just need my mind to catch up. It proves that it’s 100% a mental decision between what we ’think' we want vs what our bodies ACTUALLY want! 💡
Ok - epiphany over - that is my nugget of weight-loss wisdom for the day 👍
