I have told some that I don't like the tag #selfishsewing and I don't. Most of what I make is not for me or our home. However, I have been using a zip lock bag for cosmetics for ages! Tonight I fixed that!
Thanks to a tute from 2009 by N on her blog called Make It Modern! The Perfect Box Pouch...I made it a little bigger, but it was so easy and clear!
We did it!!! @judemadeit and I have worked hard to find quilters to join us for the #quiltcon2018#charityquilt and it is sooo exciting that our team is formed. We are #Sew .IMQs and also included are the lovelies, @quiltfabulous and @langdon813 . Here we go!
I hate to drop out, but I am falling too far behind in things! It feels like the fact that I don't know the British fabric designers is a good time to say no more posts to #greatbritishquilter . I WILL be following your posts though and have enjoyed learning some British things and especially making some new IG friends!
Day 16 of #greatbritishquilter is favorite sewing project. This is a tough call! This quilt is special to me because it was my first real quilt and because it was requested by my daughter for her home. Her only guidance was to coordinate with her Van Gogh picture, Starry Nights. It is queen-sized and made with 4-inch squares.
Hey, fellow quilters! Looking to have some MQG Independent members join us in a charity quilt to be shown at QuiltCon 2018. PM me or @judemadeit if you want to join in. Details are on the MQG website. We need at least 4 independent members to sign up. We need a longarm specialist. We are in the PNW. Hope we get some quilty friends to join us!
#greatbritishquilter Day 12...favorite quilting tool. My Sew Steady table keeps things level and gives more working space son that the seams are neat and straight...assisted by the 1/4" foot. The walking foot makes such a difference!
