My usual Tuesday morning coffee date came over with her whole family in tow this afternoon for a Christmas tree. You can see it in it’s new home over at @steph.pollock - Opening our home to friends, family and friends who feel like family fills us up. Justin and I sat down to dinner tonight thanking our Jesus for a home where we get to love on the humans that are so near and dear to our hearts. It may seem silly but filling a home with a Charlie Brown tree feels like Christmas. So cute, you four, so cute.
I love seeing how others decorate for the holidays. I like to see how they celebrate, to learn what their traditions are and hear about their favorite experiences through the season. Do they love a big tree a little tree, fireplaces lit with warm mulled wine in their cups or in a bikini on the beach in the Caribbean. I’m a cozy up to the fire and pray for a blizzard kind of girl but I wouldn’t turn down a trip to the beach, so i get it. I’d love to hear what makes your heart feel happy and your Holiday cheer settle in, whatever it may be. Please share! Xx
PROST | CHEERS | SKULL • until next time Germany. ✌🏼 Keep your eyes peeled for a blog with a recap on our European travels and photos from my actual camera. Hopefully in the next ten days. Let me know if there are specifics you’re wanting to hear about. Topic options, what to do with a sick 4.5 mo old while traveling, what to see in Prague, how the Autobahn actually works, how sweet family is, my staple pieces to stay warm and feel cute or any-thing-else. Xx
Can’t hate it. What’s your favorite way to get to know a city? Mine used to be going for a run through it, now it may be eating everywhere that looks cute. I’ll work on reprogramming that soon. Prague straight blew our minds this week and I kind of want to come back, ASAP. Have you been here? What do you love about it?! Xx
Amos + I are big fans of the snuggle vibes that get to happen in these cold temps. My toes were literally numb 20 minutes later... thank God I packed a second pair of wool socks, just in case. If you have a favorite pair of insulated rain boots or snow boots, please share. I’m in the market.
A new Black Forest. Ok, we’re not in either Black Forest, but so close to one and too far away from another. Loving this trip but the rhythms of home are a little missed for the little man. What are your favorite overseas travel tips for babies? It’s never to late to learn a new one. Xx 😘
Exploring around this sweet little German village named Preist. How good is it to have friends and family scattered across the globe to visit and get a fresh taste of life with. Also this @lululemon 600 weight down coat is keeping me all kinds of cozy. I’d be a little ice cube without it this week!
Prost! My little family is celebrating Thanksgiving in Preist, Germany this year and I’m in heaven. Cured meats, the creamiest butter, coffee worth drinking no matter where we are and views for days.
Praise. Happy Thanksgiving to you. Xx
Thanksgiving Day meal prep with our sweet niece, Loralye. This is my favorite holiday! It’s filled with quick reminders all through the day to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. Even during the hard years we can dig up a few things to be thankful for and I feel like this one calls us into the action of focusing on the positive. Some of my favorite memories are centered around the goodness it cultivates. It leads us into thankfulness, fills us up with food and carves our time to pause with family or friends, sometimes both and just be. What is your favorite thing about today?
