Body built by time and consistency!
Everyone wants to know what the quick fix is. There isn't one. Time spent sticking to a program that I believe in has helped immensely in building my body to be able to tackle almost any and every physical task put before me. I've also spent time eating the correct foods to fuel my body for my activity level and my goals. Eliminating sugar, refined carbohydrates and grains to maximize my output and minimize inflammation in my body.
All of this happened progressively over the last 6 years. Starting small is key. Pick achievable challenges/goals for your nutrition (no fast food, no bread, etc), track your food, educate yourself on what is healthy and what is not and stick with it!
Shout out to Piper for rocking the KB Deadlifts at last night's Youth Sports Performance Class. These are an incredibly difficult movement to perform, let alone perform well. Really pay attention to her knees going slightly valgus in the first few reps and then she stops and corrects it. Great athletes have great body awareness and can correct improper movement quickly.

What does that mean?? Shaking things up, cutting out the things that aren't serving YOU, and committing to the things that make you FEEL and BE the best version of yourself. These can be different for everyone, and we all know what they are for ourselves. Can you do the simple things well? .
Everyone is concerned with the flashy one handed catch or the crazy complicated footwork drills these day, but ask people to perform simple drills well and their skills deteriorate.
Here we ask our athletes to master the basics. We even promote them through the ranks as the do.
The Game Ready Fitness athlete development system is focused on general physical preparedness first. No outrageous metrics that parents and athletes don't understand, but simple improvable skills and techniques.
If you build a solid foundation, you've got a much better chance of success down the line

This is something I've been telling myself and my youth athletes for about a year now. Important for them to understand that effort in the things you don't enjoy doing is just as important as effort in the things you do enjoy doing.
