My body always takes a week or two to get out of "eating all the carbs" mode after #marathontraining
I have been carb cycling the last few weeks and my body (and mind) have adjusted well. Higher carb day for me today (40%) and I'm happy my numbers were on point!
Friday and Saturday I'll take carbs down to 30%, keep protein at 30% but fats will go up to 40%.
I'm still working out but not as much as I was so reducing my carbs was an obvious choice.
But I'm not cutting carbs out. Never! I do "sandwich" my workouts with the higher carb, protein filled snacks.
I'm just simply filling those muscles up on higher carb days and "draining" them (and the liver) a little on low carb days.
As always: it's all about balance and getting the right nutrients in your body.
