#CIF#crosscountry By far the most exciting day of my life! I’m happy I had these lovely girls beside me for the whole year. I PR’d with a time of 20:51! I haven’t decided on what I want to run in track, but I’m sure whatever I choose will be the right choice. 😊 #Crosscountry2017#XC2017
I got 16th place! My first cross country season is over! This season went so fast! I’m happy I had the opportunity to make more friends throughout the season! I won a medal today, and I’m proud of myself because league finals is a big deal! Thanks to all of my new friends and my family for the support! I hope to see everyone in track soon! 😊❤️ #Crosscountry#crosscountryxc 😇Pic cred: @hhstrojanstrack ❤️❤️❤️
I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween! I’m sure there are going to be many “IT” clowns. I didn’t go trick or treating this year, because of the big race. I am handing out candy though, so say hi if you stop by my house! ☺️❤️🎃👻
MY THIRD MEDAL! 😍🏅 Today we ran at Huntington Beach! It was very stressful, because I always run later than everyone else, but the course was fun, and went by quick! There was a hill, which made my legs burn, but it wasn’t as steep as I thought it would be. Although I didn’t PR(Personal Record) I’m proud of myself for what I’ve accomplished so far. My time was 22:41 and my PR is 22 flat. I placed 13th. I would have got 15th, but I sprinted past 2 girls at the last 100 meters, which I’m proud of, because I was dying at the end! 💀Thanks to everyone who wished me good luck! ❤️I couldn’t have done it without your support! 🏃🏾♀️🙂🏅💐😱❤️
My second medal! 😄❤️This race was the hardest because I fell yesterday and scraped my knees bad. I had to run with bandages on and they both fell off while I was running! 😂The top 50th got a medal! 😨I placed in 49th! 😱I was so close to being beat! I’m going to try and get a medal for every invitational race I go to!😯🏅
Today was very stressful, because my race didn't start until 6:30pm so I was waiting. I don't like waiting..but in the end I felt good. Our team did great, and I think this is going to be a good season. There were about 200+ freshman girls. The top 100 earned a medal. I placed in 60th place, and honestly didn't expect it. I'm very happy with how my first race came out. I hope to keep succeeding throughout this lonnnnnngggggg season. 😅🏅#CrossCountry#crosscountryxc
"Collect moments, not things. I don't beg my parents for stuff I want. I work hard to achieve what I want. I know my future is bright, because I chose to believe in what I can achieve. Today is a big day for me..my first race against hundreds of girls my age who are just like me. I get butterflies whenever I think of my future. That's how I know how much I want it. I ignore the souls who stare, or judge me by what I want. I hold my head up high, for them to see. So, if you want something, don't beg for it. Work for it. Achieve it. Live with that dream. Trust me. Keep going for it, and nothing will get in your way." -Tamara Burnett, September 16th, 2017.
