I’ve taken some time off posting between Christmas madness, moving back to Leeds and deadline stress 😴
But I’m back and although I can’t promise any pretty meals (most are eaten out of a container these days) I promise to keep sharing my health journey with you guys!

Today’s rainbow salad inspired by @thetinytank has left my stomach super happy 🙌🏻 I sometimes forget about micronutrients when thinking about macros - I avoid too much fruit because of the sugar content (PCOS) and tend to focus more on getting my protein/carbs down rather than getting my vits down. I love seeing loads of colour on my plate and I love Oenone for inspiring me with her beaut food! Definitely something to work more on in the new year 💰
Anyway today’s lunch: mixed greens, yellow pepper, pomegranate, left over @merchantgourmet puy lentils and roast veg, olives, red onion, shredded roast chicken and @sainsburys vegan feta cheese 🌈

Well hello there guys!! It’s been a while hasn’t it 🤷🏽♀️ I’m back in London for a week to reset, recharge and most importantly look after my mumma who’s having an operation today 🤕 but whilst she was in theatre I snuck out to a local deli to catch up with my bestie and have this delicious heaping plate of salads 🌈

When the two day Halloween hangover finally starts to pass and you get your appetite back 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Had a really good lie in this morning (well I mean 8.30) and spent a few hours ambling around the house, doing laundry and getting myself together for a few weeks of full on essay writing mode and I feel sooo good for it! I used to get insanely anxious about not keeping to schedule and making it to the library for 9 every morning but honestly taking my time and working to my own beat has made me so much more productive and relaxed ✨
I had meal prepped my chia pudding for my 11am meal but seeing as I was home I heated it up, swirled in some frozen strawberries and put all my fave toppings on there - before eating it snuggled in bed 💞💞💞 All brands used are tagged! Happy Thursday lovelies 🌸
Let’s talk a little bit about balance ✨
The past few weeks I have been all over the place: uni has taken off in full force and final year is fucking hard. I have more work than I ever realised and I’m just about staying on top of things. On top of that, my mental health is definitely not great right now. I don’t know if I’m pushing myself too much or I’m just unhappy but either way, I am not a happy bunny right now.
This past weekend was my birthday and this year I have decided to make it a year of self care. Doing everything I feel necessary to feel good and happy in myself and sometimes that means not eating well and exercising and that is FINE. As much as I have an idea of what I want to look like in mind, I’m actually very content with getting fit and strong just for myself, rather than for an aesthetic. And since realising this I’ve found the gym so much more enjoyable! Even if I have a shit day the gym lifts me right the fuck up and I love that!
So all I’m saying really is do not allow anything to hurt your mental health - fitness, school, work can all wait while you’re happy inside. Take whatever steps you need to to feel you again. Happy Sunday lovelies - take a breather today and enjoy some you time 💜

Well I think in honour of National Mental Health day I think it's finally time for another transformation Tuesday 🌸
It's been over 3 years since this whole thing fitness and wellbeing mission started for me, and although sometimes I forget how far I've come, it's unbelievably important to look back and remember.
The first girl was on the cusp of going to uni, terrified of being the "fat girl" in another chapter of her life. The second is in her final year, but still feels like the "fat" girl from time to time. I've come to realise over time that even though I thought losing the weight would be the answer to so many problems, it wasn't. Because underneath it all the person you are stays the same. I spend so many days battling anxiety, having mild panic attacks and feeling overwhelmed with every day life. And that is okay - it's COMPLETELY normal. It's what you do about it that will define you.
So today, take some time out, remind yourself of all of the things you should be proud of yourself for, all you should be grateful for, and everything you can look forward to. Feel everything you need to feel, let your emotions manifest - just don't let them takeover. You are strong, wonderful and are going to be okay 🌸

In honesty I'm not having a very Instagram day - no yoga, brunching or meal prepping (yet!). I'm spending the day horrendously hungover after 3 hours sleep, a lot of boogeying and a whole lot of wine 💃🏻 final year stress of uni is unbelievable, and honestly it's incredibly overwhelming so taking time out to have fun with my friends is really important 🏆

Took me all of 10 mins to throw together even though I'm moving at snails pace this morning 🐌
