Happy Aloha Friday! 🌺
Yes, I know I look like the Chiquita Banana lady. I'll be housesitting my aunt and uncle's jungle shack upcountry on the volcano on Maui for the next month. The 4 hour time change means I'm naturally waking up at 6 am, which is absurd for me. But that's a whole 2 extra hours in the day to goof off and do stuff I've always wanted to do: like make a flower crown. I'll chalk this one up to a #PinterestFail , but it was an immensely pleasing thing to do while sipping coffee this AM. I can't wait to unplug and catch up on all my creative projects (lots of updates coming to my website) before the madness of winter's work with @ifsafreeriders.
Next time somebody asks about my favorite color, I'm going to say: the purple and fuchsia hues of the western side of the Grand Teton at the height of alpenglow on a late summer's eve. I think that's more interesting than my typical answer: blue.
Went out a counting Sandhill Cranes in Teton Valley for the @tetonlandtrust today. Though my favorite sight was this Ferruginous Hawk, named for its ferrous (rusty iron) coloration.
I want him on my team, for sure!
Feeling the love! ♥️
So blessed to have the incredible talent of photographer @austendiamond for our engagement photos! 🙏
JK! JK! This is actually my fav shot from the latest @visitsaltlake blog post about the @lovelandlivingplanet aquarium. Though I do think this shot would fit nicely in Austen's bridal gallery.
Mike DeBernardo snapped this picture of eclipse totality over the Tetons. This is a good thing because yours truly was so wonderstruck I literally could not even locate the shimmering corona of the sun in my viewfinder. #MegaFail . I was too busy crying in wonder...
So I snapped zero pics, but I'm thankful #MikeDeezNutz didn't blow it.
