On this day, around this time, we brought a 16 mo old girl home from Primary Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. The irony that we were released on Halloween was not lost to us. We went Trick-or-Treating like any family would, and stashed away the candy for treatment of the inevitable low blood sugars. In honor of my daughter and her courageous battle managing the unmanageable, please learn the symptoms of type 1 diabetes: .
👻sudden weight loss
👻increased appetite 👻sudden vision changes
👻fruity odor on breath
👻nausea or vomiting 👻drowsiness, lethargy
👻heavy, labored breathing
Boy! It's been a long time since I've sewn a seam larger than 1/4"! I've been making skirts for my daughters to wear in a Youth Cultural Celebration for the opening & dedication of the Meridian Idaho Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My girls will perform a dance called "Digging in the Dirt" honoring the pioneer men & women who sacrificed so much for a Temple of The Lord to be built so close to my home, and of course worked hard growing the famous Idaho potatoes on their farms. For more information on temples and how you can visit before this beautiful building is dedicated for the use of members of the LDS faith, check out my bio.
No binding??? No worries!!! Some may think it's a little "spooky" to display a quilt without binding, but this one is being displayed the whole month of October, binding or no binding. Goal: Have it bound before I have to put it away on 11/1. And....a gratuitous Cocoa the Poodle pic because she came & posed for pictures without mommy asking her too. 🐩🕷🕸🦇🌞⭐️#quiltpoodles
