#TBT Two years ago I met this incredible woman as we set out to work alongside the @kulaproject team in Rwanda. We spent several days sharing mosquito nets, street food, and stories from the back of a van while trekking through the coffee fields of the eastern provinces. Today, I'm most excited that this brilliant and beautiful friend now calls Atlanta home! Here's to Africa, to matching 👯 and to new beginnings @cemcelroy
This bottle of wine carries quite a story... Those who know me, know I love nothing more than hosting a soirée in my home; especially during the holiday season. The more the merrier nestled in my humble urban abode that houses a 7ft Christmas tree and not-so-subtle traces of South Africa. During one of the first parties, well-imbibed guests took to the wine rack that housed a few vintage bottles, kept for savoring on (other) special occasions. The following year, I purchased an exquisite crystal decanter and aerated two-buck chuck bottles from Trader Joe's into said centerpiece. Possibly my best-kept entertaining secret. Before airing my dirty laundry to the world here, I shared my hack with @jessiepjones years ago and apparently it stuck. Thanks for gifting me my favorite bottle yet, love you hard.
Yesterday was a marathon, maybe a little more along the ultra, endurance type. The #31south team started the day at 3:30 a.m. (12:30 a.m. west coast) to hop on a flight to San Francisco to meet with clients and host our Founders + CEOs event with SaaScend last night. Surrounded by an incredible team and community who inspire, drive, and encourage each other makes 25 hours in motion easily worthwhile. At the end of days like these, I'm thankful that I get to lean on more than just a welcome post on this wild ride through entrepreneurship.
I'll be in SF this week, hi hello Bay Area friends! The #31south team will be spending time with our clients, dashing off to #BoxWorks and hosting an exec event in between. We have a full few days ahead; who's around, let's connect ✌️
I've been fortunate to have met some of the loveliest souls while traveling beyond the borders of my comfort zone. The lovely @natalia_talkowska is one of those souls. Thanks #SB2017 for connecting us, and London for igniting our friendship 🇬🇧
Today I had the opportunity to stand in front of an audience and share why B2B companies must adopt human-centric design in their marketing. The key takeaway? In the frightening process of driving innovative ideas; fail fast, fall forward, and practice intentional unbiased reflection.
