V. mucho enjoyed my last day in Sydney @lot1sydney 💕 Thanks for the best Italian I've ever had (and I am very fussy about al dente pasta!)🍝❤️🍝 Plus the cocktails weren't too shabby either 😜Who else is a little bit mad for espresso martinis? I'm so basic haha but they are my favourite ☕️🍹😋
Back in Perth and ready to smash my goals again... starting on Monday 😜 Although I love Sydney I'm definitely more of a Perth girl. I'm more introverted than people assume and much prefer a quieter pace of life (FYI I wanted to move to the country and be a farmer when I was little haha 👩🏼🌾) I really enjoy being home and having snuggles on the couch with my bf and my doggo 👫🐶 #itsthesimplethings
No editing, no filters, just really happy 🤗 In a time when you don't know what's real and what's not @truepicbeauty app tells it like it is - stomach rolls and all 💁🏼 Download the app and show your beauty unfiltered ❤️ I've been REALLY enjoying my time in Sydney 🥞🍔🍕🍟🍰🍫🍩 and feeling (and looking) a little softer around the belly than usual. But it's all good 🙆🏼 I'm a massive foodie and I don't like to restrict myself when I go on holiday, so basically everything has been on the menu this past week 😋 it's okay to let go and #treatyoself 💖 I'll never beat myself up or feel guilty for drinking champagne with my sisters 🥂and starting every day with a chocolate croissant 🥐 When on holiday, enjoy yourself 🤗 #ad#truepic#truepicbeauty#nofilter
Finally got to meet my Insta Bestie @sophactivelife 👯 and thank god, she was not a weirdo but absolutely gorgeous, funny and ooff look at dat booty 👀🍑 We've been chatting over Instagram, moved to Whatsapp then after we started having hour long phone calls we thought we should probs meet IRL 💕here's to many more cocktail jugs and buckets of chips! #notactuallyfit#justpretending 🍹🍟🍹🍟
When my sister originally took this photo of me I saw it and was like "eww gross delete delete". I forgot to delete it and kept it on my computer for months. I shared another similar more flattering picture on my Instagram (sans butt dimples) and never thought I would ever share the original photo. When @whandfmag were interviewing me for a piece on their body issue edition I attached 5 images, all pictures in which I thought I looked pretty good 😎I hesitated to send this picture as I didn't know how I'd feel about this being on every newsstand in Australia. In a "what the hell" moment I emailed it through, and the editor told me it was the picture there were deciding to print 🙈 Now that I see it in print, I'm extremely proud and so happy I made the decision to publish a photo of myself that shows me for me ☺️ no editing, no booty pose, just me, a giant coconut and my goofy grin 😬
Obligatory Grounds of Alexandria flower post 🌸🌹🌼🌷💐🌻 Pretty much killed today, Nutella cronuts, Messina gelato, rosé on the balcony, margherita pizza 🍩🍦🍷🍕 and a Zimmerman outlet sale 🛍 safe to say, I'm doing Sydney right! Also, shoutout to the chick at Zimmerman who came to my rescue when I couldn't get out of a top 😂 seriously, this thing was like a straight jacket. It would not budge. After 10 full minutes of trying to manoeuvre my stupid head out of the top my pride gave way and I stuck my head out for help. She didn't even work there but offered to help me haha and got the damn thing off my head (sorry I flashed you in the process!) hahaha never been so stressed. I think every girl knows the feeling of being stuck in an expensive dress/top/skirt in a change room. The fear is real 😅
You guys know I hate squatting but I'm working on it because it's such a great compound movement and I wanna grow huge quads pls 🙏🏼Stole this post from my trainer @coachjaqsdiary
Following up on yesterday's post on a lift I love - myself and @madalingiorgetta
are demonstrating right and wrong squatting technique for you guys!
If you have never squatted before, it can be a little intimidating to incorporate this big exercise. Or you might have tried squatting, but it didn't feel good and you aren't sure if you are doing it correctly.
The set up for a squat is pretty simple. Most important thing is to be comfortable! Most people will find standing with your feet slightly wider apart then your hips and toes can be slightly turned out. Most of your weight will be through your heels.
When bending the knees and pushing your hips back you want to keep you knees over your little toes (going out). Ideally you want to get your hips below the knees. Throughout the whole squatting motion keep your chest tall and maintain a neutral spine (straight back). Before getting under a bar, perfect the technique bodyweight, start by introducing a DB in a goblet style squat and progressively add more weight BUT always making sure form is spot on 👌🏼 A few common mistakes you want to avoid are:
1) Knees collapsing in. More common in women with wide hips and weak gluteal muscles.
2) Squatting shallow. Missing out in the engagement of gluten.
3) Arching or rounding your back. Putting all the load in your lower back and abdominals aren't engaged.
Remember technique trumps load!! I hope this helps ✌🏼
