#PrayForVegas I’m very saddened, heartbroken, shocked and speechless from the mass shooting in Vegas. Vegas is like my second home, my home away from home because I have my family there. I’m so thankful that my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew. Thankfully they’re all safe and sound.
“Change; we don’t like it, we fear it, but we can’t stop it from coming. We either adapt to change, or we get left behind. & it hurts to grow, anybody who tells you it doesn’t is lying. But here’s the truth: The more things change, the more they stay the same. & sometimes, oh, sometimes change is good. Sometimes change, is, everything.”

"I want to live. I want to climb that mountain and take that road trip. I want to scream in top of my lungs and kiss in the rain. I want to laugh until I cry and travel the world. I refuse to simply exist. I want to feel alive. I want to leave a mark. I will leave a mark. I will chase the sun. I will be as free as the wind. And several years from now, while taking my last breath ever I'll whisper "I did it."
"You know what I think we are most afraid of? Not knowing. Not knowing whether it's all really worth it. Not knowing if you should give up or keep fighting. Not knowing why you do the things you do; not knowing the purpose. It's like when you're little and you touch the stove and get burned because you didn't know that it was hot. Not knowing has always hurt us, from the every beginning."
"Don't think about what can happen in a month. Don't think about what can happen in a year. Just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be. Life in the moment, because everything else is uncertain."

I was a young girl! Only five years old when the world changed forever. That fateful day where aluminum met steel. I was too young to remember. Although I will never forget. I didn't realize what happened but I could sense it. The weight of the World Trade Center on everyone's shoulders. Children of today will never see the way our world shifted. In response to the attack on our nation. Sixteen years have come and gone. I can only hope that the young will never know what it's like to watch helplessly as life as you know it changes forever.
