On 26th December 2004, a major Tsunami devestated communitys of Sri Lanka and took many lives. The day after, I was travelling from Australia, to the UK. I remember thinking about it constantly, more so, because i was flying over the areas affected, wondering about everyone below and what they must have been experiencing. Around the Sri Lanka areas we experienced massive turbulance (I thought for a while it was going to be my last flight, as we plummeted on several occasions with the flight attendance on their knees!) . It wasn't the best flight path at the time....a very frightening experience to say the least, but thankful I lived to tell the tale....it could have been alot worse.
Recently, searching for "Gandhi Quotes" , I found an article about two young men (Rob and Paul) who were young boys, their at the time, who lost both of their parents in the Tsunami. They have created a company in memory of their Mum and Dad called "Gandys" @gandyslondon (selling flip flops/clothing and 10% goes to orphanages in developing countries). They have also written a book called "Tsunami Kids".... From what I've read in articles they both have an amazing outlook on their life experiences and turned them into positives, Inspiring!
I will definitely be getting myself a pair of Gandys flip flops and their book.... @shettyjay I'm not sure if you have heard of this before? I think it's a great idea and will be interesting read.... It connects with the Live Lifes Purpose Group too #perspective and the Quote " I haven't met a successful person yet, who has had an easy past" 🙏 #gandys#ghandi#flipflops#orphan#orphanage#srilanka#tsunami#srilankatsunami2004#tsunamikids#book#success#company#business#charity#reading#book#perspective#positivity#strength#life#journey#experience#travel#love#inspiring#truestory#makeadiffrence#anythingispossible#nevergiveup#jayshetty#wisdomworkers
