Triceratops is, after the Concrete Cows, the most loved sculpture in Milton Keynes! The artist, Bill Billings, created this 30 foot concrete dinosaur in 1979 and had to sleep within its belly during construction to stop any unwanted attention from curious youngsters! The triceratops has had many different paint jobs over the last 38 years, including Spider-Man and a skeleton! The current dazzling pink and green design was the result of a Parks Trust competition won by a local 10 year old girl! #triceratops #dinosaur #art #sculpture #artwork #publicart #mk #mk50 #natgeo #miltonkeynes #peartreebridge #billbillings #artist #colour #color #green #pink #concrete #nature #concretexture #wormadventures #contemporaryart #artlover #texture #urbanart #streetart #iconic

The 22 metre-high Pennine Tower - located on the M6 between junctions 32 and 33. When this brutalist building with it's air traffic control aesthetic was opened in 1965 it was a must stop location and the place to be. The hexagonal restaurant had waiter service and unparalleled views of the motorway and wider landscape. The building, not currently in use, was given grade II-listed status in 2012 by Historic England #penninetower #brutal #brutalist #brutalism #hexagonal #hexagon #concrete #concretexture #concretecandy #concretecrush #architecturephotography #architecture #architecturelover #architecturelovers #building #buildings #structure #wormadventures #form #design #buildingswow #arcblu #architexture #thunderbirds #modernism #futuristic #m6 #motorway #forton @historicengland

This folly in Williamson Park, Lancaster was built by Lord Ashton in memory of Jesse, his second wife. Built in the early 1900's for £80,000, it would cost in excess of £7.5 million today's prices.
