It’s been quite the week #becomingdrb - it’s amazing how much time it takes to write a hundred pages worth of papers 🤓I somehow managed to do some #marathontraining everyday, but I opted for quick calisthenics instead of listing to save time and cut out social media time. Needless to say, the break was nice, but I missed seeing what everyone has been doing and it was great to be back in the gym today! #maketime#nevermissaday

Thank you GMEA District 1 for the wonderful experience directing your middle school treble honor choir! But also, thank you for allowing me a couple days to catch up with Dr. Sara Lynn Baird and watch her make magic with the high school treble Choir!
Dr. Baird was instrumental in so many ways: getting me into LSU, directing the choir I sang in sophomore and junior year, encouraging and helping me attend my first ACDA conference, and was my first conducting teacher. Just WOW! Teachers impact lives in so many ways.

One more day of mental prep before taking the road tomorrow for the Chicago marathon! The work has been done....now it’s time to perform and see the results of the work. I simply can’t wait, sooo excited!!! #marathoner#lovetorun

A favorite this week, and so simple with only whole food ingredients! Roasted squash with black rice, edamame succotash and a fabulous Thai peanut dressing to top it off. Meal prep is seriously the only thing keeping my budget from tanking AND me from not skipping meals due to grad awesomeness aka: insanity 🤓 If you don’t meal prep, you totally should. #mealprep#whatveganseat
You know you’re marathon ready when..... 1. Around mile 8 you say “I’m feeling warmed up”
2. The plan calls for 10 and you say “Thats it?” 3. You finish breakfast and say “When’s second breakfast?” Last “long” run of the training plan done. Now we taper, rest and prepare.
