It was definitely a chillier swim in Lake Windermere last night. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the water temperature was around 5-6C now. Though the strong wind and sleet certainly made it feel cooler. #LakeDistrict#Windermere#winterswimming
Had a fun weekend being filmed for a new documentary series on @Channel4 Mostly looking wistful on top of a Windermere ferry before swimming, shivering, and stuffing my face with cake! Returned home, did some washing and fixed a broken toilet.
Great to be back at the Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club too.
Whilst the Rydal Water adult colouring book is off being formatted for publishing in December, I've been using the drawings to create patterns for fabric. This one is inspired by the view of the waterfall at Rydal Hall through the window of the 'Grot'. The fabric is available as fat quarters and by the yard in all sorts of materials including velvet, chenille, heavy linen, luxury satin and lots of other options. Great for quilting, furniture upholstery, crafting, and clothes making.
