We love hearing about your experiences - it’s why we do what we do. @glitteredannie came to multiple clinics of ours last season, always full of stoke! “So thankful today (and everyday) for all the amazing people I’ve met this year who inspire me to be a better a climber and human being! Specifically, @carey_devictoria_michel with @she_movesmountains and @dawnglanc who are “teaching themselves out of a job!” and striving to further the climbing community of women on both rock and ice. You two are incredible and your stories so inspiring! Thank you for your hearts and all that you do!! 🙌🏻🏔” 📷: @katielo.photo
Starting She Moves Mountains has been one of the most beautiful and challenging endeavors. We put 100% of ourselves into it and had to trust in believe that other people would believe in our mission.
In 3 months over 95 different women came to our clinics. Many returning 2, 3, or even 4 times. They showed up with incredible attitudes and made our first season a success.
We cannot express how grateful we are for all of the support we have received getting off of the ground. Both from the women who showed and from companies like @cotopaxi, @mountainsupplyoregon, @team_edelrid, @smithoptics, and @prana.
We are happy to share that we will be continuing next season - with some of the same programs and modified versions of others. We took suggestions and criticisms from last year to adapt what needed improving and will be bringing our new calendar of events to you early next week. Look forward to smaller class sizes, two day leading trad and sport clinics, plus our new multi-pitch program taught by @jabegg. We will open up for signups early next week! Just in time for the holidays 😉
Only three more days left to support the @andshesdopetoo Kickstarter campaign. The film, Moksha, they are creating is an incredible example of what women can achieve when we look out for each other and challenge the traditional idea of what it is to be a strong and confident woman. I encourage you to check out the link in our bio and help them raise the final 12% of their funding goal
She Moves Mountains could not exist without the support we have received from the outdoor community. One huge supporter of us has always been @andshesdopetoo. And now they are asking for support! For the last year they have poured their resources into creating a film about women mountain biking in Nepal. Check out the link in our bio to learn more!
Golden hour at Smith Rock State Park.
In the coming months we will be putting together our calendar for next season! We want your input, shoot us an email if there are specific skills you are looking to learn or classes your are interested in.
During the next few months, our apparel will be available to purchase online (link in bio) - check out our website and support us as we build up for next Spring

As a female climber who prefers the alpine, the majority of my climbing partners have been male. For the most part I have been lucky. They have supported and encouraged me. Pushed me to climb harder and to take on tough objectives. The hive five in this photo came from a male climbing partner who pushed me to send my project despite the fact that he had just fallen on it.
But also 99.9% of the climbing instructors I have had have been male, and I'm sure the same goes for men learning to climb as well. I think we should work to change that. 📷:@curious_corey

We love seeing relationship form between the women at our clinics. Some women come in pairs, but many show up alone. Throughout the day relationships are formed and partnerships developed. We were so stoked to hear about @stephiamberr and @bdangergranger making plans to come back out and join us again at our event next weekend with @wildandweightless. Thanks for making this happen. You ladies rock! 📷:@loveyerland
