Learn just as much from the mistakes as the wins. Don't let the mistakes discourage you. Just look them in the face, take them for what they are and keep moving forward. What have you learned in the last three months? What do you need to more and less of in the last quarter of the year?
[Affirmation for the week] Get out of your own way. Stop being your own road block. Yes, life will happen, people will say off the wall things to you, everything will not go your way, but it is all part of the process. If you want it go get it. Leave the excuses behind and focus on what matters.
Ladies if we aren't learning, growing, planning and executing we are staying stagnant. Spend some time before quarter 4 starts to figure out where you want to be financially, what educational investments you can partake in and re-evaluate all those personal goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year that you've neglected, but want to get back to. Finding myself embracing this all over again. For the past year I've spent countless hours after work watching lectures, studying, engaging in those annoying but required weekly discussion boards. Now, I find myself hammering out content for this platform, managing the tech side (which I currently totally suck at, but that's ok), learning business in a new light outside of the corporate world, etc..Doing the not so glorious things that are necessary to change not just my story, but in hopes that it will inspire you to change yours.

The last 8 months have been interesting and scary as hell. My anxiety levels are at an all time high when three black cadillacs are parked in front of the lobby and emails that pop in my inbox from the "big dogs". The gasp that echoed on my floor from my colleagues and I last Friday has gone down in the memory book for me. While the gasp was the sound of relief, I would much rather not have that feeling ever again. Though the clinical research industry is booming as with any corporate job change is inevitable. That was a reminder to me that we have to stay ready! Here's what that moment taught me about side hustles and I hope you will consider taking on one: --
1. You're prepared for a rainy day (that email could have read differently)
2. You'll have an additional stream of income
3. It will motivate you to work towards your goals 10x harder!
Leave a comment if you have a side hustle or considering it.
[Current read] "People love to tell you what you should and shouldn't want, regardless of how you feel about it. Even worse, we're so malleable, if we listen to them long enough we'll tell ourselves what we should and shouldn't want regardless of how we feel deep down. If we're not careful, we can stay stuck for years, or even lifetimes, in situations that cause us pain because we'd rather defend these nontruths than upset or disappoint anybody, our own inner critics included" -Jen Sincero
YALL! Jen owns it every single time! What are you currently ready?
[Affirmation for the Week] Repeats to self "These changes are for my highest good". This affirmation is a true reflection of the happenings in my life these past 8 months. Learning to embrace change is never easy, but necessary to push us to where we are meant to be. Still learning to embrace it, but getting better and better each day!
Goals written out for the week. Check! To-do list ready. Check. Great! Now what's your action plan? Chicas don't forget this part. This is where many of us fall short and are defeated at this step. Why? It simple. We don't outline our tasks and add time limits them. Without time limits we can get so caught up on perfection or get discouraged because something isn't working out in our favor. Challenge yourself this week to stick to the allotted time limit for each task then move on to the next. This is how you make moves!
Here is a sneak peak of my action plan up to Wednesday:
1) Monday: 6-7PM Finalize + schedule remaining content for this week, 8-9PM Format THE ULTIMATE GIRLS NIGHT IN Checklist
2) Tuesday: 7-8PM Research new budgeting strategies
3) Wednesday: 6-9PM Draft content + set deadline for transitioning from my 9 to 5 series.

It's dropping on Sept. 25th!
For many of us 9 to 5 babes, weekends are our grind time. For me learning to use my time wisely came from checking in with myself and goals frequently. AND I did it (still do) on Friday nights. The parties and game nights can wait. The goal is to learn + grow. You can't execute your plan at your highest performance level if you don't know what is or isn't working for you.
Here are 10 questions you should be asking yourself weekly: *What went well this week?
*What didn't go well this week?
*What didn't get done this week and why?
*Was I consistent?
*What do I need to do more of?
*What do I need to do less of?
*Did I use my time wisely?
*Are my current resources serving me properly?
*Did I encourage myself?
*Did I practice gratitude?
