Last canning of the season (I hope)! Had never canned potatoes, but we had so many, and they don't last long enough. So we have Red Pontiacs & Yukon Golds ready for homefries, etc.!

16 blocks going out in the mail this week. Great cause. Very easy to make. Found a nice layer cake (10" squares) collection of blue, tan, brown prints that worked well. Would like to encourage all quilters to help @craftycop #bluerkblocks

I'm feeling a little bit like my flower boxes - in the fall of my life, a bit faded, but still pretty.

Chile! Brown 6 lbs ground beef or venison. Sauté 6 medium yellow onions & 1 small green pepper. Add tomato soup & same amount of water. Add kidney beans. Add about 18 fresh tomatoes (skinned). Salt, pepper, chile powder, red pepper, paprika to taste. Cook several hours. I canned mine in pressure cooker.

Some folks take a few bucks to the casino and have fun. My fun is at Rogers Flea Market! Soon, I need to show some before and after photos! #rogersfleamarket

Highly recommend this pattern. Easy to follow instructions, and Will be nice while hand sewing quilt bindings or embroidering!

My son & daughter-in-law are traveling in Ireland. They sent me this pretty picture. Me, I spent a lovely day sipping & painting on my front porch with my sister. She is teaching me to paint.

A simple 4 patch, quilted with a walking foot and a little bit of free motion. Thanks to encouragement from books by Christa Watson and Pat Sloan! #christawatson #patsloan #staceyyacula #blankquilting
Love making Sun Tea! Four large tea bags and a couple hours in the sun. So easy and so good! This time I made blackberry syrup (from berries husband picked). Really good!

Stuffed cabbages (or called cabbage rolls or pigs-in-blanket)! Made today for a family reunion. Mixed venison burger, an egg, a little rice, a little panko breadcrumbs, onion, celery, parsley, salt & pepper. Rolled in cabbage leaves, covered with tomato juice. Cooked at 350 for about 1 & 1/2 hours. Good!

One must think positive. We arrived on Mackinac Island during a storm. But the weather was beautiful from there on!
