【Tube rice pudding】筒仔米糕
It's definitely impossible to get a bamboo tube(haha) so I replaced it with a small mug for shaping them. There are dried mushrooms, peanuts, dried shrimp, lotus seeds and homemade soy meat in it. It's not easy to get every part of sticky rice cooked completely. (especially those parts covered inside the mug)
【Mung bean Gui】綠豆粿

Chinese sweet Gui is made with sticky rice flour basically. I was suprised that I could find out bamboo leaves here. The filling is simply made with smashed mung beans and dark brown sugar. It is a traditional snack in the countryside. The wrapper of sweet Gui is normally made with other green plants: mugwort or Jersey cudweed. I add my idea to make this old stuff look and taste new again.
I bought this for making steamed bun(to flatten the dough) at the begining actually. However, I forgot to check the measurement. It is much smaller than what I imagined😱 so it has been laid aside for quite a while. Finally, it still turned back to what it should be. Haha I make the dough with plain flour. It's super hard to be flattened when there is no yeast added in the dough so I have to let the dough rest for a few mins every 2-3 times. I have to keep flattening and folding the dough repeatedly for 10 times because it makes the noodles taste bouncy. Tragically, I didn't dust enough flour after noodles are completed. Therefore, they just become a noodle lump. I have no choice but to cut that huge lump into pieces like a gnocchi after cooking. I will definitely pay much attention on dusting flour next time.😅

That is one of my favorite breakfast as well. Ingredients are totally the same as steamed bun. They are only cooked differently. This is pan-fried while the other is steamed. I think it is going to taste awesome if I make from sourdough. It should be softer. Then, I am not going to add those sesame seeds on it. They always fall everywhere🙄 and taste OK. Haha
【Beetroot steamed bun with dried cranberries】
After the second tryfirst try was on porkbun of beetroot as redor pink on buns I am definitely sure that it turns into khaki😱 due to steaming. Red from beetroot only works out on dumpling wrapper. Then I just found that I havent been adding my favorite cranberries for a while so here they are.😆
【Sticky rice meatballs】珍珠丸子
I have been trying anything with sticky rice since the day I bought a pack from an Asian supermarket. Every grain of sticky rice tastes so nice that all covers with an amazing smell from meatballs and sesame oil. I had lots of fun when rice got stuck to a meatball. A smaller size is better to me, that is, less mince and more rice together. Just don't eat too much at the same time.😆
I am so lucky to find a yogurt starter here in a nutrition store. After my mom in law told me that soybean yogurt can keep skin in a good care, 😱😱I just tried so hard to find out a place selling starters for yogurt as soon as possible. Please forgive me because everything about skincare is definitely undeniable to me.😅 Haha. The most tiresome thing to me should be a jar sterilizing with boiling water before yogurt starts to be made. After that, everything is quite easy but just waiting. Anyway, beauty always deserves.😈 Soybean yogurt with homemade pineapple jam(no sugar added)and blueberries is 😋totally fresh and tasty.
【Raw Honey Cake】(Dark brown sugar)
Another first time comes with this honey cake. It's also one of my favorite desserts. I have never found any here in supermarkets. Raw honey bought from a farmer's market tastes thick and gritty from little bits of crystallized sugar. I love the smell of brown sugar with honey cake so much. It is not too sweet but soft.😍
【Honey red bean bun】Pumpkin style (Natural color comes from carrots)
Are you ready for the Halloween 🎃? I am trying my best to make my pumpkins look perfectly smooth. However, I didn't add too much water into the carrot juice in order to make it yellower so it causes the dough a bit dry. It's also a first time to try smashed red bean. I would like it to be wetter actually. Everything about these pumpkins is dry today. Haha.
【Sticky rice roll】(Fan Tuan)
I feel like trying different stuff for the breakfast recently. It takes a little bit more time than preparing steamed buns because it has to be done freshly before being eaten. There are dried radish, pork floss(Rousong),avocado and a half of fried egg in it. It truly tastes like home.
【Clay oven rolls】蔥燒餅
It's the first try of my clay oven rolls. There is no final proofing step before they are sent into the oven on the recipe so they do not taste as soft as I imagine but not too bad. Definitely, I will try again and add some of my idea next time.
【Sesame steamed bun】
Colors is left over from making dumplings. Green is made from spinach while the other is carrot and beetroot. The secret of soft taste and good raising is twice sourdough as much of plain flour after former experiments.

I reckon I have watched that instructional video for at least 20 times and keep pressing the STOP button with my oily finger.😱 Haha. Fortunately, the result is successful and perfectly cute this time. I just can't wait and take a bite of it immediately. Yammm😛😛😛
【Vegetarian Pineapple cake】
Here it comes again. It's the fruit in season so that's super cheap and sweet at the moment. None of sugar is added either in filling or pastry. There is just 50g pure honey in 16 pieces. I can totally enjoy the natural sweet from the pineapple itself. Parts of pink colour on some of cake pastry comes from mashed beetroot which is left from making dumplings last time.
【Pork and Corn Dumplings】
Dumplings are a fast-cooked and convenient food for me. They are easily prepared at the time I have no idea of what to eat(=lazy). I am playing colours by using different vegetables and fruit. Let's have fun and enjoy dinner with rainbow dumplings.
