After a wild weekend in Austin, TX, something light and supah clean was being craved. •

After a quick getaway in Austin it's always nice to come home, whip up some comfort food and curl up on the couch. What did y'all do this weekend? •

WATERMELON // look young forever. •
Vitamin A is stellar for your skin, and just a cup of watermelon contains nearly one-quarter of your recommended daily intake of it.
Vitamin A helps keep skin and hair moisturized, and it also encourages healthy growth of new collagen and elastin cells, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Vitamin C is also beneficial in this regard, as it promotes healthy collagen growth.
These Buddha bowls may look fancy but I assure you they're not.
You can top them with anything, on the fly and they come out amazing. Not only that but you will walk away happy because it was healthy and you will be oh so full! These have been on heavy rotation during the work week just because they are so quick and whatever is in your fridge typically works. Minimal thought, minimal prep--It's a win win in my book. •

My first trip to @dishsociety for lunch was a success! I had the hardest time choosing what I wanted because I wanted everything! They had so many gluten free options, too-I was in heaven.
Safe to say I chose well but I'm look forward to my next visit. •

I do believe I have found my latest crush // this acai bowl from @txjuicegirl I have had their juices many times at the @urbanharvesthouston farmers market but sadly never ventured to their shop on 19th st in the Heights. Shame on me since it's so close to my house. After talking with Gretchen, the Juice Girl herself, about how they are the ONLY smoothie/juice bar in Houston that's 100% organic, she mentioned that she truly can tell a difference in the flavor.
I'll be honest, the only açai bowl that I've ever had was a couple years ago in Brazil and I wasn't a big fan of its flavor and since then I've always gravitated to pitaya bowl's.
After trying Juice Girls açai bowl yesterday I can honestly agree with Gretchen, the flavor of her organic acai bowl is hands down one of the best flavor creations I've had to date. Not to mention, their granola is like a soft crumbled cookie.
I'm a total fruit smoothie addict and I'm officially hooked on these bowls. If you have not tried @txjuicegirl acai bowl-run that way, stat! Feel free to join me when I run by later this afternoon for round 2 ;)

This place truly has turned into my happy place, rightfully so. Fresh local produce, food trucks, fresh flowers, fresh juice, live music...what could be better? No other way I'd rather spend my Saturday. What are you guys up to this weekend?
Today was a really awesome day and it's going to get even better as we inhale these protein packed Buddha bowls 💪🏼 •

So pumped that I finally made it to @nourishjuicebarhtx NEWEST spot, @kaloscoffeeco ! Think organic juices + smoothies, fresh coffee and breakfast + lunch snacks galore! It's officially my happy place--a much needed one stop shop.
Beyond pleased that they're also walking distance from my house in the Heights!
