I'm completely exhausted, physically, mentally and emotionally. I've slept about ten hours total in the last four days, been to 2 hospitals, 2 different doctors offices, driven the hour drive to my mum's six times, and I am beyond exhausted.
These two oils. On my chest. Hot bath. Nap time.
So, yesterday was radio silence on here and I apologize for that. My mum had a medical emergency and I raced her first to urgent care and then at their insistence, to the emergency room. I left my house about 6:40am and didn't get home until close 5pm so I was too tired to do much besides eat some dinner and fall into bed. But the good news is, my mum is going to be ok. She's still in a lot of pain but she'll live through it.
So today I'm heading back up the mountain to take care of her and take her to another doctor appointment. In the meantime, enjoy this little newsboy hat. You can find it (along with a bunch of other cute hats) at the link on my profile page! Did you know we also have an etsy shop? Just search forest farmhouse and our shop will pop up!
"She lost herself in the trees
Among the ever changing leaves.
She wept beneath the wild sky
As stars told stories of ancient times.
The flowers grew towards her light,
The river called her name at night.
She could not live a normal life
With the mysteries of the universe
Hidden in her eyes."

Thanks for joining in my class this morning! If you didn't catch it, it will be available for 24 hrs in my stories! Also, thank you for putting up with my insane cats and my distracted self this morning. 😂😂
If you have any questions about cypress, please post them here or shoot me a message! Same with the clay pendants!
Remember, if it's bleeding, swollen, burning, causing you stress or pain, reach for cypress!
Good morning! I hope to see your lovely faces in an hour to chat about cypress and to show you some diy clay diffuser pendants! We are going to chat about the history of cypress because it's amazing just how long this tree has been used by herbalists. All the way back to the ancient greeks!
In the meantime, I wanted to share this embroidery hoop with you. I finished it up and it's perfect for Valentine's Day! Or any other day you just want a reminder that you're loved. It'll be in the shop this week! (link in profile)
Yesterday was one of those days when things just go wrong. I started off spilling wet coffee grounds *all* over my kitchen floor. And from there, it just kept going.
So I decided to just roll with it and enjoy everything anyway. Well, after I spent a few moments alone in my room with some oils and cat cuddles (five yesr old loudly announcing to the other children not to bug momma because she's "changing her attitude").
So when friends came over in the afternoon, I was glad I had planned that. We sipped tea with ginger and hibiscus. We wandered outside. We talked about plans and dreams and ideas. We made things.
Attitude change effected.
This Sunday at 8am PST, I'll be doing another live class and this week I'm spotlighting cypress (as an oil and a plant) and showing you a diy clay diffuser pendant! It should be a fun class and hopefully increase your herbal knowledge and inspire some extra creativity for the coming week.
Cypress is our oil circle oil this month @lovewildtribe and it's one that's part of my daily routine in a couple ways. Be sure to tune in Sunday to find out more!
This pretty much describes the rest of my afternoon and evening. Crocheting, tea, kittens and working from and on my grimoire.
Not a bad day at all.
Oh! And Earl Grey with a splash of milk and a drop of lavender oil is amazing. The perfect calming drink for quiet work.
Teeny tiny mushrooms hidden up under a fallen log. Like a treasure that was waiting for us to find it.
Sometimes I feel like those tiny mushrooms. I just want to hide away from the world. But you can only grow so much when you're hidden away without space. You can only see so much of the world from your hole. You lose the space to dance and you lose the ability to see things with fresh eyes. You lose what makes life worth living.
So take those moments to hide, but never forget to come out and L I V E.
Thank you so much for joining in my live class! If you haven't seen it yet, please check my stories. It will be available for 2r hours!
Comment here with either something you learned or any questions you have to be entered to win a roller bottle of my immune system Support blend! I'll announce a winner tomorrow afternoon!
Again, thank you so much and be sure to join me next week for a spotlight on cypress and a diy clay diffuser pendant tutorial!
The trees were calling to me so Loralei and I snuck away to the woods in front of our house. We looked up and discovered a birds nest, licorice ferns, pinecones (girl trees!), fluffy clouds and tree tops. We looked down and found branches and bits for wreath making, tiny mushrooms, sunlight on moss, and the feel of damp earth on our bare feet. We soaked up the sunshine and talked about vit d and adventures at the beach and her love of gymnastics and how the woods where we're moving will be different.
We noticed. We listened. We breathed. We laughed.
All because the trees were calling.
