This is me - I'm smiling (maybe even glowing😜), relaxing and enjoying the peace in my car. Why? Because I just enjoyed a child free supermarket trip and it truly was bliss 😂 No one touched me, cried or demanded food. There were no sticky fingers or fights over kinder surprises. Not once did I repeatedly say 'do you need to go to the toilet or 'don't touch that'. Instead, I felt like I was floating on a cloud up and down the aisles with Taylor Swift singing softly in my ear and by some sort of miracle I left with everything I came for (guess it was the lack of screaming kids helping me focus). I'm sure we all agree sometimes a shopping trip alone really does feel like a mini holiday.
Ps.....I saw frozen cut up bananas for sale in bags. Who on earth is buying these?? If you are, save some cash and come to my house and take the ones from my freezer. I store them there with good intentions but never ever use them 😂😂
We checked out the @australianopen Ballpark. Nerf guns, rock climbing, superheroes it's perfect for little tennis fans and really well organised.
We went late to stay out of the heat but it closes at 7pm so best to go during the day so you have time to explore everything 🌞🎾
I am no perfect parent, but I do believe in teaching Hudson and Scarlett about the value of money.
To help them on their way and encourage positive saving habits we opened a @westpac Bump Savings account for each of them. Head to the blog to see if your baby is eligible for a bonus $200 in their new account and how I am teaching my kids the value of a dollar (link in bio) #dearbump#westpac#ad
Kids are full of energy and spend most of their day running around like crazy people. So, it really makes sense to have a quality shoe, that is comfortable and lasts.
Hudson is loving his new @skobishoes for Kinder and I love that they are designed by a two paediatric podiatrists 👌 #skobishoes#skobischoolshoes#backtoschool#schoolshoes
2018 I'm going to do me.
After years of intense mum guilt, going back to work 4 days a week when my babes were only 6 months old, looking after my husband's business paperwork, blogging and always feeling like I am drowning in everything. 2018 means change.
I've always held onto my local government job because it's reliable and I love the people I work with, but I want more.
I want a job that I'm passionate about, I need more balance and less stress. I don't see the point in having money and always feeling so overwhelmed and anxious because I am too busy. I want to have time to smell the roses with my babies and enjoy time with them instead of always rushing about. Hopefully this year brings more balance and (fingers crossed) a new job. Which is easier said than done.....hey no point complaining if you're not willing to change and give something new a go 😀 I'm super nervous and not even sure if I will find anything, but I'm keen, putting myself out there and ready to go!!! 👊
Ps.....the creepy guy in the window is my husband not a random man and we were parked so Scarlett wasn't strapped in her seat yet. #whereismynose#worklifebalance#workingmum
Last day of holiday blues?
I headed to @kmartaus and purchased a little (or maybe a lot) of happiness with my Christmas money 💸💸💸 🤣
Hubby wasn't overly happy with our shopping trip as you can see, but no one asked him anyway 😀 #kmartforlife 👊
