These posts normally show a dramatic change, explaining how we’re so different on instagram because we flex and show good angles. Honestly there shouldn’t be that much difference other than some veins showing up and a bit more definition. No one is ever going to take an unflexed picture and upload it, as it isn’t the best version of ourselves. It shouldn’t be a big surprise to know that we all flex and pose when we upload. We all want to show the best versions of ourselves and we shouldn’t feel like we are being deceiving in doing so...

Motivational tip of the week: compare yourself against yourself, don’t focus on others, focus on being a better version of yourself than the day before. It sounds simple, but comparing ourselves to each other is all we do nowadays🙏🏼

Some of you may know I’m a Personal Training student so I thought I might start sharing some tips with you once in a while, instead of taking shower selfies. - The muscles highlighted are your pectorals. AKA your chest, everyone’s favourite muscle to train, and mostly with Bench press so that’s what today’s lesson is about children. 
1. When benching, please I beg you to arch your back, and if the only arch you’re thinking of is the McDonald’s Golden Arches you need to fix up. Don’t bend over backwards, have a slight arch around your lower back, keep your shoulder blades retracted and plant your heels to the ground push them as far as you can. This will give you explosive power on your push up.

2. Short and sweet this one, make sure the bar is hitting your chest and going back up. Having an understanding of progressive overload is great, if you’re progressing each week even better, but if you’re using a weight in which you can’t even perform 5-8 reps, lower it and focus and your form, you will reap the rewards later. That’s all today folks 👌🏼

As you can see I was the definition of skinny fat, no muscle, no abs and a chubby face with hips wider than niki Minaj. Going to the gym is only the start, this is a journey and a lifestyle; when I pulled my head in and fixed my diet I started to lose fat and gain muscle, error by error I learnt a few things which lead to me getting some cool things like obliques and bicep veins😶
