Yesterday's lunch with the teamsters. After they initially brought out the meat & prawn stirfry noodle instead of the tofu (i must learn to be more specific when ordering 🙈), i received this which was delicious 🍜 love how they incorporated the tofu, thinly fried slices of deliciousness.

Most humans are against animal abuse. Where I come from, we are taught to love dogs, cats, bunnies and other certain animals. We are taught that you must be kind and friendly and have respect for these animals, we are taught to rescue and look after them, if you abuse your pets you are looked down upon and thrown in jail. Yet where I come from, we torture, exploit and slaughter pigs, cows, chickens, sheep and fish. We are grown up to believe we need to consume their, flesh, bodies and secretions to survive. We are taught their lives don’t matter and we can do whatever we want to them. We are against animal abuse yet we pay people to abuse animals. But this happens behind closed doors so that we forget that the food on our plate goes against our beliefs. We never have to face the fact we are eating abused animals because we aren’t eating animals, we are eating beef and pork and lamb and milk and cheese and eggs. We aren’t eating animals we are eating burgers and pizza and hotdogs and nachos. We have been taught to disconnect ourselves and when never have to face this, except when someone brings it up. Suddenly we come to the realisation that what we are eating were once living, breathing, beautiful beings with feelings, family and emotions. We suddenly become defensive and feel the need to defend our actions saying, ‘we need it to be healthy’ or that ‘we are designed to eat meat’ or that ‘animals would takeover the world if we didn’t eat them’. However this is all false, and it is not our faults that we believe it. We have been taught from birth this is the way it should be. We have been conditioned to believe this, but the sooner we learn the truth, the better off we will be, the better off the environment will be and the better off the animals will be. I believe that no humans want to see harm to animals because it is in our nature to love them and show compassion for them. This is why I want to spread the vegan message, to bring awareness so we can educate ourselves and make this amazing and necessary change to benefit the environment, ourselves, and the voiceless animals we share this planet with ❤️🌿🐮✨
Here we go again, pictures not posting. Being randomly logged out & not being able to log back in again & now getting hit with freaky ass messages. My spidey senses are telling me that yet another one of my insta accounts is close to being shut down 🤣
Living in a world of 'free will' where if I post anything other than food my profile gets shut down👍anyhoo, if my account disappears you know why 😜 hopefully get you all back up on my next one. #thirdtimesthecharm#thetruthcannotbehidden#nomatterhowmanyaccountsgetshutdown#unstoppableforce
Still find it inconceivable that Australians are being put in a position to vote on the basic human rights of other Australians.
However, I've already completely fallen in love with Newtowns edginess and charisma, love just walking through the streets, there is something really special about this place.
Vegan options galore and signs like this up in almost every shop and every corner. Please, if you're able to vote, put whatever beliefs you have aside and think about it from a basic level of compassion and love for your fellow human being. Vote yes, vote for love.
Words can't describe the feeling of finding others who have the same burning passion to do everything they can to change the world as you do.
Humbled to stand beside these legends & fight to end the corruption that bears down on society on a daily basis. Getting into deep and meaningfuls with total strangers after a full stint at work & juggling life can be a test of endurance but to know that you have a army of support behind you, to lift you up in the bad times and to celebrate the success's with is the best feeling in the world.
Unbelivable love to every single person doing their part to help, and to those who are yet to learn the truth.
We are literally changing the world every day 💚🌱
Throw back to when I actually used to cook for myself. 'Fish fingers' (I challenge anyone to tell me these don't taste exactly like the real deal)
Sweet potato wedges, corn on the cob, broccoli & cauliflower.
Canny wait till im cooking up a storm in my kickass new kitchen. Now to find some extra hours in the day to make it happen. 🌱
Literally couldn't get a better 'moving in meal' than this. Have been craving a decent Chinese since i moved to Australia, but seriously, the duck pancakes are out of control. Would of loved a bit more cucumber in there but taste wise they're perfect. Loved the noodles & how you can 'build it yourself'
Didn't love how they leaked all over my bag the following day when I took the rest in as lunch.
Also slightly concerned about the colossal amount of takeaways I've been eating since moving to Newtown. Actually need to go shopping ASAP.
The whole time I've been doing outreach, I've had no idea that this beautiful soul is James Aspeys mum!! Obviously would take a phenomenal women to raise such a legend 😜 & I'm happy to confirm that Brenda is one of the nicest humans I've had the pleasure to meet. 💚🌱
Struggling to find words to describe the magic that was yesterday. So heres some from someone who can:
. 💚🌱 "Never doubt that a small group of committed individuals can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
Yesterday was a very pivotal day in the history of animal rights. Around 130 vegans attended to bring truth to the people. No lies, no exaggerations and no sensationalism. Just the plain truth about what happens to animals as a result of our food choices. After being confronted with the truth 569 non-vegans decided that veganism was their new goal and many of them vowed to do it straight away.
When we fight this battle together, anything is possible. I hope you are all feeling inspired to come back again. Remember, we are on every week, 2-3 times a week. Thursdays and Saturdays in Pitt St and Sundays in Parramatta. Of course, it is unrealistic to expect people to show up to every cube but whatever you can do is invaluable. Whether it's once a week, once a fortnight, once a month or only on special occasions, your service IS making a difference.
The maths is very simple. The more people that show up to a demonstration the greater our conversions number is. The greater our conversions number is the sooner we have a vegan world. Each individual has a role to play and in the words of Michael McNally 'Just by showing up, you may very well turn someone vegan.' Well done to all who attended, it was a pleasure. I hope to see you all again in the near future.
From the bottom of my heart, with all of my Metta (loving kindness). <3"
Today's the day. Worlds biggest cube of truth starting at 12.30 today. Get yourself down to your local anonymous for the voiceless to get involved, with 12 tv's, signs, filming & outreach theres plenty for everyone to do.
Couldn't be more excited (and slightly nervous, tip of the hat to my crippling anxiety 😜) for today, for the lives we're about to change, the animals we will be saving and for paving a better future for the next generation. Plus il be in and amongst the most amount of vegans ive ever had the chance to meet. #bethechange#increasethepeace
With less than a week to pur move in date 😁😉 i finally got the chance to view our new apartment yesterday. Still can't get my head round how weve managed to bag such a gem!
What started off as an initial discussion about furniture turned into a 2 1/2 hour deep convo about life, funny how that happens.
Swung past @newtownpies for a quick dinner, got the thai brocolli meal (super excited to try the mushroom & gravy potato topped one next time) less than a week to go 😁 bring it onnn Newtown 😜
So blessed to work so close to #aboutlife the cafe is out of control & there are so many vegan friendly treats for all my shopping needs, they even stock #macadamiamilk what a win!
Flu season is still ripping through Australia, esp Sydney after what has felt like months. Worth noting, im the only person i know who hasnt been struck down 🤞🤞 - So am forever cramming nutrients & vitamins at every opportunity. Thank you @aboutlifenm for having my back when i don't have enough hours in the day to whip up a lunch. 💚🌱
Animal agriculture is the leading cause of global warming, deforestation & ocean dead zones.
It's the leading cause of heart disease & cancer amongst a long list of ailments in the west.
Its the leading cause of famine in 3rd world countries and contributes to the death of millions (predominately children) across the planet & is the sole cause of death to over 50 billion animals every year.
If you've had enough please stand with us on 5th November.

See you on the streets.
Food prepping like an absolute boss. After 3 failed order in attempts, I got the hint and made the effort to bang out as much food prep for this week as possible. A work colleague made a comment that she cuts all her smoothie bits at once and keeps them in the fridge which made me realise the amount of time if i did this with ALL my veg - fridge couldnt hold it all so below we have:
.x2 overnight oats (never made more than 1 at a time 😦🤞)
x3 vegetable pastas with olives & tahini sauce which i mixed with a load of other ingredients so hopefully its nice. (Please list kicking tahini sauces below as i need to use mine up & have no idea what I'm doing 🤷)
A serious amount of chopped carrots, celery & cucumber.
Absolute monster of a breakfast. Have slowly but surely seen the boyfriend choose more and more vegan friendly options such as this beaut for his weekend breakfast over the bacon & eggs he's eaten his entire life.
I can't say it doesn't kill me inside a little after a full day of activism & seeing someone whose comforted me after being broken by the devestating reality of the world we live in, tucking into the one thing I'm fighting so hard to help show people the corruption and abuse we're unknowingly funding on a daily basis. I'm a firm believer in having patience with people. We've all been raised in a world where torture, enslavement and murder are classed as humane, compassionate & RSPCA approved. Just takes some longer to break free from the relentless brainwashing that we've all undergone since birth. Anyhoo, this was unreal 💚🌱
Had a belter of a long weekend so far. #listenout festival Saturday so yesterday was a write off, but still managed to cram in some serious nutrition. Acai bowl, followed by a packed out smoothie, veggie burger & wedges from #burgerjoint minus the butter & aoili courtesy of @ubereats .With avocado toast topped with a tonne of lemon and lime for those vitamin C, B6, potassium, folate, flavonoids and the outstanding phytochemical, limonene (ps im one of those freaks who put nutlex on everything including my avo toast, think ive got an addiction..) 💚🌱
